Sleep Wake Failure

Hi!

I have had this problem 20 times now this month and it's becoming super annoying!

When I go to wake my Mac Mini from sleep, I get the "Sleep Wake Error".

I was wondering if anyone could help me try and fix it?

I have already tried:

  • Resetting SMC
  • Resetting NVRAM & PRAM
  • Reinstalling MacOS (Just system software, not resetting entire computer)

I have included the full error below, thanks!

Hi harrytsmith126,

I understand that your Mac mini is periodically getting an error when trying to wake it from sleep. I'm happy to provide some help for this issue.

Since you've gone through most of the troubleshooting provided for this issue in the article below, I recommend going through a few of the steps at the bottom:

If your Mac doesn't sleep or wake when expected - Apple Support

If the previous steps don't work

These additional steps may help identify or resolve the issue:

  • Disconnect external devices other than your Apple keyboard, mouse, and display. If that resolves the issue, gradually reconnect your devices, testing each time, until you find the device that is interfering with sleep. Then check the documentation that came with the device, or contact the device manufacturer.
  • Start up in Safe Mode to see if the issue is related to non-Apple startup items, login items, or kernel extensions.
  • Try to isolate the issue by using another user account.

If you still see the issue, contact Apple Support.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Cheers!
