My 2016 MacBook Pro 15" laptop battery started to drastically decline in duration almost exactly a year after of buying it. Right after the warrantee expired of course (Dec.2017).
Has anyone else noticed battery issues on this super pricey laptop? Could it be related to the High Sierra update, or just a hardware issue???

Turn down the screen brightness, it uses a Lot of power.
Quit (not just close windows) all Applications you are not actively using.
After a day or more use under the new version of MacOS, do an SMC reset.
I had one killed recently.
YES, it could be the new update, it's been terror for a number of users.
But, it's possible it's an 32 bit program or one not optimized for macOS.
Have you seen this decline AS YOU USE the battery or AFTER AWAKE from sleep?
Does this decline seem steady no matter what you do or does it happen more frequent at specific events/times?
Have you checked 'activity monitor' and see if anything is taking up resources?
It is more likely to be caused by incompatible software installed on your Mac
