Accidently dropped massages app on iphone 6into contacts icon. Can’t get it out by pressing contacts, nothing shows like when it does when icons are dropped into other icons. Help?

That is the problem, that suggestion does not work. The message app was dropped into contacts. messages icon has disappeared. Pressing the contacts app, nothing shows up, the messages icon does not show up, nor come out of the contacts app.
If you add an app into a group hold your finger down on the messages app and then drag it away from the group, off to the side. Then release the app.
Got it. I hate to suggest it but try rebooting the phone?
Ask Siri to open the Message App.
Or double tap the home button to open the app switcher?

You may have dropped it into another App....other than Contacts. For the last time....ASK SIRI TO OPEN MESSAGES!!!!!!!!
