I can't access my icloud drive on my iphone 7 plus now. I update my ios yesterday and before that it worked. Now the screen flickers and says authentication required.

I am asked for Authentication which fails with my standard email and password and then when I try to change it it says that I can change it because I’m signed in to the iCloud and to use my standard passcode...Which fails. It then tells me that I can use my phone number to sign in. I sign in using my phone number and it in turn sends me a verification number which I enter and I get a message back saying that there has been a verification error. This repeats over and over again.
