got a used iPhone 4, how to change carriers
I was given a used iPhone 4. How do I get it to change carriers to a pay by month plan. It didn't get erased before I got it. Thanks.

You will need to speak to the carrier to whom it is currently locked. Since they hold the lock, they are the only ones that can release it.
