asked to verify billing address before upgrade to High Sierra, and it produced error page, help please.

Hello experts,

I was trying to upgrade my mac air 2011 to the High Sierra from Yosemite 10.10.5 and the system asked me to verify billing address which i actually already has set up correctly on apple store (SG location). After it asked, i clicked continue but it produced error message "your request produced an error" as in screenshot. I am not able to download new version up to now. Any suggestions? I am new here (: Thank you.

I can see that you're getting an error message when you try to upgrade to macOS High Sierra after being asked to verify your billing information. I want to help get your Mac up-to-date to take advantage of the great new features. To begin, have you tried to restart your Mac since you first noticed this? If so, have you tried to update your billing information from somewhere else besides the App Store app like the web?

This link below might help.
Change or remove your Apple ID payment information

Specifically these steps:

On the web

You can change to a different credit or debit card by signing in to your Apple ID account page. You might have to verify your payment method the first time you try to buy something on one of your Apple devices.

  1. To go to the Apple ID account page, click this link: View Apple ID.
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID. You might be asked to answer security questions.
  3. In the Payment & Shipping section, click Edit Payment Information. If you're using Family Sharing, and purchase sharing is turned on, only your family organizer can update your payment information. User uploaded file
  4. Change your payment information.
  5. Click Save.

You can also update the security on your account or other preferences from this page, but you can't remove a payment method from this page.
