Transfer all files from one user account (admin) to another user account on the same computer

How to transfer all files from old user account (admin) to another new user account (admin) on the same computer and delete the old user account?

MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), macOS High Sierra (10.13.2)

Move them to /Users/Shared/, log into the new account, drag them to the desired locations, and then use the Users & Groups pane of System Preferences to delete the old account.

If you’re experiencing an issue with the current account, moving preference files over may transfer it.
