How do you get rid of the stupid frakin AirPlay thing that's always floating around? It's even on the screensaver which is such complete BS.
And the microphone doesn't work. What a piece of junk.

Apple TV 4. No idea.
There is no main screen.
I turned on the Apple TV. I got a notification that there was an update. I updated. After reboot I got the window for Settings or cancel. I clicked Settings and got the screen above.
You mean, unplug it. There is of no on/of switch. Who would ever need that?
Man, sometimes I hate Apple, except when I get the dividend check of course.
Which Apple TV model and firmware? What do you see on the main menu screen prior to selecting settings? What happens when you attempt to sign in? Have you done a power cycle?
Go to Settings > AirPlay > Conference Room Display. Toggle Off

Are you referring to your Apple ID? All you would need to do is navigate to settings using the remote, which doesn't require any log in or is it not responding to the remote at all?.
Settings is highlighted. I press for Settings and I get the screen you see above.
If I wait the screensaver appears. If I click I get the screen with Settings highlighted.
Powering it down got back to the main screen, and I could get to settings. It now no longer seems to need an Apple ID to do anything. What was that even about? Why did it want the Apple ID at all?
Perfect, and yes I meant unplug. It was some kind of glitch, but not something i've seen reported before.
