Why did Notes paste my attachment in upside down? How can I rotate it?

I pasted a attachment from an email into an existing note. Although the attachment is upright in the email, it appears in the note completely upside down. A second attachment in the same note appears sideways. When I select the attachment, it appears upright, so my iPad is recognizing which end is up. I can’t find anyplace that lets me rotate the attachment within the Note itself. Frustrating.
