Macbook Pro Sluggish (EtreCheck results included)

HI. I'm in need of some help. I've seen similar questions but haven't found a solution to my problem. I'm running a MacBook Pro (2011) all software updated. It has been running really slow of late and I can't figure out whats going on. I did an EtreCheck and that's just left me even more clueless, can someone please look at my results and guide me to the next steps. I appreciate your help so much:

I will remove them, I didn't think Adguard would have been a problem. Teamviewer really has been a pain so I'm all too happy to do away with it on your recommendation.

It never occurred to me that I would be pushing the limit of my RAM at all. I used my MAC before this one so much more heavily than this yet that never happened. This computer has felt like such a step down from my older model. Guess upgrading the RAM is the next step. Thanks a lot for your help.

Dec 17, 2017 1:31 AM in response to Jigoku Shōjo

Teamviewer has been reported several times as a problem area; as you have already noticed an effect, that should be your warning. Memory Clean is unnecessary. Adguard for Mac has had mixed reviews. Adblock should be fine, or Adblock plus if you like.

Apple's RAM recommendations for any operating system is for a relatively low loaded machine. Once you have several background apps running the needs can change. As a 2011 machine you should keep in mind to check out any future up grades carefully. It may not go much further.

Buy your RAM from OWC (Macsales) or Crucial.com, both of whom are cheaper than Apple but use Apple recommended products.

They can match your existing RAM which is an essential requirement.
