IPhone 5 SE

Hi sreejth5838,

The iPhone SE is a great buy. A friend of mine just got one and loves it. It is a powerhouse while still fitting into a small frame. It also has a great camera and the internal specs of the iPhone 6s, so it will be able to handle a lot that you throw at it. However, I have heard that Apple may be releasing an iPhone SE 2 sometime in early 2018. I'm not sure if this is 100% true, but just something to think about.

The iPhone SE will ship with IOS 11. You should be good for another few major IOS updates like 12, 13, etc. IOS is a pretty simple and basic operating system so it does not need too much hardware to run on it. The iPhone SE has a good processor and includes 2 gigs of ram, which is plenty to run IOS. 🙂

There's no iPhone 5 SE, but there's iPhone SE.

The A9 SOC is the same as iPhone 6s/6s Plus but with a 4 inch screen.

You can still buy iPhone SE from Apple.

iPhone SE has the same processor as the iPhone 6S. It will probably be supported for about 3 more years, not quite as long as the iPhone 7 or 8.
