I have tried resetting my Apple ID and it is fine when I log on online, however if I try to update my os I am asked to enter my Apple ID and passcode but I keep getting denied saying my passcode is wrong?

I keep going around in circles. I changed my password (for no good reason I can fathom), can log on and even use itunes, but ap store upgrades give the ID disabled messae. Now I can't use half my aps.
