Question: Upgraded to 10.13.2, now most of my disks have disappeared from the desktop.

I'm running 10.13.2 from an external USB3 disc (until I'm comfortable that High Sierra will behave itself!). Just upgraded to 10.13.2 & now most of my discs don't show up on the desktop. Just two show - the disc running 10.13.2 & the internal Macintosh HD. The rest are accessible from Finder, no problem; just inconvenient & annoying. Show Hard Disks & External Disks selected in Finder prefs.
