Homekit automation with Hue Sensor not triggering

In Homekit Automation I've set a Philips Hue motion sensor to switch on a Heatmiser switch. When I test the automation within the Homekit app the switch is triggered and the sensor displays motion. In normal use the automation never triggers even though motion is detected.

Other Home automation works reliably with the Heatmiser switch and other devices.

The Home hub is Apple TV 4th generation and all firmware and software versions are up to date.
