when I got my past 2 iPhones, my music did not transfer over, only the music that I had recently purchased from Apple. Is all my music gone? If not, where do I find it and how can I transfer to my iPhone X.

if you find it on your computer and have the proper version of iTunes. Add the music to iTunes and create playlists. Then attach your iPhone and choose music under that iPhone and sync your playlists.
