The lock screen passcode? If so, see: If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

The Apple ID password? If you only have one it would be the same password as you used to sign in here. If you have another Apple ID and have forgotten the password, see: If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support

I tried using the password I changed it to on December 17, 2017 but it not working for my iPad. It state: this iPaid is linked to an Apple ID. ender the Apple ID and password that were used to set up this iPad. m*****@b*****.org. Not sure what that mean.
