v 10.13.2 has slowed down considerably my macbook at startup.

I recently installed macOS High Sierra v 10.13.2 and my macbook has slowed down considerably. Specs are

Model Name: MacBook Air

Model Identifier: MacBookAir6,2

Processor Name: Intel Core i5

Processor Speed: 1.3 GHz

Number of Processors: 1

Total Number of Cores: 2

L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB

L3 Cache: 3 MB

Memory: 4 GB

Boot ROM Version: MBA61.0103.B00

SMC Version (system): 2.13f15

Serial Number (system): C0****5V8

Hardware UUID: B2F9AC9A-1B94-57F1-89C2-C28EB3B4DEAF


Is there anything i can do to fix this condition.

That's probably about right. Perhaps you use some Login Items.


Why does it matter to you? The only time I ever restart a Mac is to install software updates that require a restart.


Just close the lid when you're not using it. Or, walk away. It works better that way. There is no particular benefit to shutting down a Mac, unless you don't plan on using it for over a week or so.
