Blocking numbers

I blocked a number a while back, and somehow the person is still contacting me through this number, sending me texts and calls that are not blocked calls. I checked just to make sure this person is blocked and I.T says they are, how do I make sure this person has no way of contacting me? How are they even still contacting if I have their number blocked?
