I have difficulty seeing how to take images from my camera card and load them directly into my external hard drive.
This was so easy with Windows XP.
Urgent now.

Not knowing anything about your camera, I'd suggest plugging in your external drive. If your camera has a USB connection, plug that in - or, if it does not, get a USB card reader compatible with your type of card and plug that in. Open both on your desktop and simply drag the images over to the external location you want them in.
Move images from camera media to external hard drive.
