how to restore a 10.3.3 backup to new ipad

Hi,

I'm upgrading my ipad and want to give my current iPad air to my wife to replace her old iPad retina. The problem is she is stuck at 10.3.3 and my iPad is running the current version of 11.

How can I restore one of her backup onto this machine so she doesn't lose anything?

Thanks,

Tom

Good morning Tom Martin5,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

You can restore your wife's iPad onto your newer iPad, but it might be helpful for her to have a second backup saved to iTunes on your computer as well.
