Devices with iOS 11.1.2 won't connect to WiFi

3 x iPads in the house....As of this morning the 2 with 11.1.2 won't connect to WiFi, while the 1 device not updated (still on 11.0.3) is working fine and all other devices (TV, smart hubs etc) all working perfectly. Have tried all the usual solutions such as forget network, reset network settings, rebooting modem, router etc....

By changing auto settings to manual I can achieve a connection to the home network but no internet connection and my router doesn't recognize usual device name etc.

Something external changed?

Hey,

Have you tried restarts or trying different WiFis to see if it was the iPad’s problem? If it continues woth other WiFis, then try updating to iOS 11.2.1, since your iPads cannot connect with WiFi to do so, use a computer with iTunes installed and connect your iPads with a lighting adapter to the computer to update, a message should appear right after you connect it saying you should update iPad to iOS 11.2.1

Restarts and trying different WiFi networks didn't solve the problem. More discussions with Apple suggest we stumbled on a bug, their engineers suggested the following and it seems to have worked:

Turn off Keychain, then "Forget Network", toggle WiFi on/off, and attempt to join WiFi....seems to have done the trick!

Apple suggested turning off Keychain then "Reset Network Settings" but so far that full reset hasn't been necessary. We agreed to try it out for a few days and speak again...
