why does apple make me change my password every week

Every week Apple sends me a pop up to sign into my account, and every week I sign in and they tell me it's time to change my password. Every week I change my password and it's so frustrating that I can't possibly remember all those passwords so I have to keep a note pad by my desk with new password and date. I've taken this to the support team more than once, as apple locks my account if I choose to keep hitting later or ignore or not now.

I'm at the brink now with this problem. Why does it continue to do that, and on top of that, now it forces me to use a second sign in with having a code sent to my texts. Please share with me how to resolve this issue finally.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 11.2

Apple Support by e-mail or chat Select your device, Battery, Power and Charging, then Power adapter not working to get a chat option. If you need to talk to them, ask them if they will do a Skype or FaceTime with you.

Yes I am using strong passwords and yes I was able to shut off the 2 Factor Authentication. I will keep you posted as to whether I'm prompted again in a week to change my password. 🙂

Set up two factor authentication and make a secure password with capital letters, lower case letters, numbers. Once this is complete you will no longer receive emails etc from apple saying change password. Note: Also change your password after a few months to make sure your information is not misused by others

Are you using strong, complex passwords? If you go to the link below, can you turn off 2 Factor Authentication in the Security section?
