Siri cannot pronounce the name Ann

I have tried everything under the sun to get Siri to pronounce the name “Ann”. Instead, Siri chooses: And, in, Anand, or any other permutation besides Ann. In order to get Siri to recognize me, I have tried all sorts of weird words in the pronunciation field in Contacts. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn’t. Any help would be great. It’s a very simple and common name.
