My icons are gone from the Dock, tried everything...

Hello, my dock is looking terrible after all my programs are gone ...

This also goes for my "programs" folder.

Until now I've tried the following procedures:

1. "killall Dock" in terminal

2. Deleting the icon file in /preferences
I even tried making duplicates, but the duplicate icons were blank as well...

Anyone experiencing the same and can't find a solution?

iMac with Retina 5K display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.2)

Have you tried to

1. remove the blanks (if there are any)? And,

2. open your Applications folder (I am assuming that is what you meant by "programs") and dragging the apps you want represented into the dock? Any apps go to the left of the separation line; your Apps folder needs to go to the right (near the trash can).
