Why doesn't the reduce motion setting disable the weird sliding animation when unlocking an iphone in ios 11?

The reduce motion setting for iphones disables most every movement animation, but not the horrible slide-up animation when unlocking an iphone that people have been complaining about. At this point I'd settle for downgrading back to the old version. It's ridiculous that apple spams you to upgrade to a new ios when it makes your product more FRUSTRATING to use with obnoxious effects that you can't disable. Come on, what gives?
