Mail App doesn't work

I upgraded to 10.13.2 and now my Mail App won't open. Any thoughts what to do?

Hi there,

Did you try to reboot in safe mode and rebuilding Apple Mail application? Very often it solves quite a lot Apple Mail issues. It is very simple, straight forward process and safe to do it. Here is how:

  • Restart your computer while pressing Shift during start up
  • Go to your Apple Mail application mailbox menu
  • Select and click rebuild, normally last item on the mailbox menu
  • It might take a bit of time depending on the size of your mailboxes

Let me know if it was Helpful, otherwise we'll look for another solution...

Good luck...

Tried your suggestion and did not clear up the problem. I am able to open 'Mail' by highlighting the Mail icon, then going to 'File' in the Menu Bar and clicking on 'Quick Look "Mail"'. A 'Mail' Title window opens with a Go To icon in the toop right of the window. That opens to smaller window with 'Mail' showing. Clicking on that icon opens the Mail App allowing me to see my emails. But clicking on the regular 'Mail' App in my Applications Folder continues to not open. Hope that helps define my situation better.
