USB Superdrive with Hyperdrive?

Made a movie on my MacBook Pro and now need to burn it to a DVD for the Grandparents. Got a HyperDrive and plugged it in to the MacBook. Then bought a USB Superdrive and plugged it in to the Hyperdrive. Not working... Message says Superdrive needs to be plugged in to the MacBook???
