I am finding that facial recognition in Photos Version 3.0 is making many more errors than previous versions. Maybe it is just that previous versions would ask you to confirm faces when it wasn't sure, whereas now it just goes ahead and assigns faces to people without asking, even when they are clearly wrong. Either way, this creates a lot of unnecessary work finding and correcting the errors and undermines user confidence in the technology. Weirdly, Version 3.0 also has a habit of assigning multiple faces to the same person within a single photo, particularly when there are many people in the photo. You would think that the software would know that it is unlikely that the same person appears multiple times within a single photo! Have others had these problems? Is there a solution or workaround?

I think that either the error rate needs to be improved or the user needs to have the option to have more control/visibility over the assignment of faces to people.
