iDVD won't recognise .mov files after FCPX / ProFormats update

Hello,

I still use iDVD to burn my DVDs running on Yosemite on an external drive. I have FCPX to edit with on the internal drive running on High Sierra. I can set up iDVD projects in High Sierra but have to burn them in iDVD in Yosemite. However, since i updated to FCPX 10.4 and also did the Pro formats upgrade, iDVD in Yosemite no longer recognises .mov files, see attached error. Mov files i created before the update are accepted. In addition I can still set the project up in iDVD in High Sierra but when i load the project in Yosemite iDVD is asking me to re-connect the media and when i do it ignores the selection. If i drop the media into the template, again, i get the error below...

I'd appreciate any advice anyone can give...

Thanks,

Tim

You'll have to covert the movie files to one of the formats that iWeb can use. iWeb has been discontinued in 2012 and is woefully out of date with current technology.

You're best bet would be to migrate to a supported web development application that is capable of utilizing current technology and is actively supported.

One app that many have migrated to because it is very much like iWeb in it's user interface and capabilities (plus much more) is EverWeb.
