Late 2011 MBP battery capacity indicator button not working

After the recent SSD upgrade, the battery capacity indicator button/lights don't work. The battery charges alright but now there no way to check how much is left without turning it on.

Any solutions??

MacBook Pro, iOS 11.2.1, Late 2011 model

Reset SMC. Choose the method for “If the battery is non-removable”.

Thanks, Dominic23. With SMC reset, I had to unplug the cable from the board and plug it back.

Worked great.
