Notes taking up huge space issue

I only have text backed up on my notes, but the iphone storage says it is taking up 9.24 GB of space. I have backed up pictures and VDOs before, but I deleted them all already. Apparently, the spaces are still occupied. How do I clear the space up? I was considering deleting the app and reinstall it, but since I don't have a Macbook to back it up I was afraid that I would lose all relevant text files on my notes. If some one have solve this before please advice. Thank you.
