Files missing after latest IOS update

Hi, after the latest update for IOS on my IMAC I have lost or can't access lots of important business files. I even scanned my passport to a USB and can not attach it to a email because it blocked because of iCloud I guess, I have been into settings and tried different things but nothing is working. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
