I was wondering if the BBC iPlayer on my ATV 4K would display any of its 4K content to my 4K TV. The adverts from Apple do not say either way but they are promoting iPlayer so one would assume the answer is yes but as far as I can tell, the answer is no.
Does anyone have a definitive answer please?

I can't give you an absolute answer but I wasn't aware that the BBC broadcast in 4k if they do could you let me know how to receive it.
They do however have test material which is available on its iPlayer app on the Apple TV.

The Beeb are showing Blue Planet II in 4K and you have to choose UHD from the front screen of the program to get it in 4K but there is no option to do that on the ATV iPlayer app!
What's the test material please?
I hadn't been aware blue planet was available in 4k on the iPlayer app, and to be honest, had watched the test material from the app on my TV not the one on my Apple TV, so in hindsight, I can't really be sure it is available via the app on the Apple TV. I shall go away and check.
One issue that might explain any absence of 4k material from the BBC on its app for the Apple TV (if that turns out to be the case) is that BBC 4k uses HLG which the Apple TV doesn't support at this time.
