preparing media for share pops-up windows stuck

Hi everyone,

after the last update to 10.4 version I've got a problem with sharing my projects: when I try to save a master file the pop-up windows appears "Preparing media for share". I can't close it or do anything with fcp x, only force quite the app. But if I send my project to compressor, all will be ok. I've tried to delete preferences of FCP X and to reinstall it, to clear rendered files and to create a new library, nothing helps. there is that pops up window still.

Does anyone know how to solve it?

I had the same issue. After much trial and error I was able to export successfully by deleting the Master file preset and creating a new one in the share menu. Hope that helps 🙂

Have you tried the above mentioned reset FCP X preferences and created a new Share item?

Thanks!!!! worked like a charm. Preparing media popped up for a moment, and then went away. I called FCPX phone support for this and they couldn't crack it. Thanks Massey!!
