all AR apps blurry, out of focus

I have an iPhone X. I tried different AR apps like Ikea Place, Magicplan, Paint Space AR or Holo. The picture is erverywhere blurry, out of focus. Only when I go close to the ground, the picture gets sharp an clear. My friend has also got an iPhone X, his device shows everything correctly. Is this an hardware defect or software?
