slow yahoo mail fetch ios11

Go to Settings-Accounts & Password and tab on Fetch New Data. Make sure Push is toggled on and set the Fetch interval to Automatically.

I just turned on 2-step verification in my Yahoo account security settings and it seems to be downloading normally again.

I have the same problem...my settings are as recommended here and it’s still lousy. It didnt use to be this way. Apple changed something about how Yahoo Mail gets updated within the Apple Mail app. If i sue the Yahoo Mail app, updates are much faster...like they use to be on Apple.

Same. It is driving me crazy. I had to download yahoo app.

I’ve had the same issue with yahoo mail since the birth of iOS 11. I have 3 accounts: iCloud, exchange, and yahoo. They all 3 actually load slow, with yahoo being the slowest. I basically gave up on the apple mail app and will hold out for iOS 11.3 to see if it’s fixed. It seems to the native app itself that is the problem.

Im having the same issue have everything set as auggested but still does not load my mail. Sometimes for days.

I am still having the same problem and it is annoying. Even the Yahoo Mail app is not responding...I have tried the suggested solution, but that is not working...I note that in the automatic Push setting for the Fetch intervals that the small writing indicates fetching only when connected to WiFi...this doesn’t make sense if I have LTE...

I am also experiencing this issue>>> I believe this issue started with my yahoo email since i updated to iOS 11.2.5.......

Actually, only worked for a few minutes. Back to not downloading. Good grief...

Same here, I can 'slowly' download the email header...opening the email takes an eternity to load 😟

11.3 did NOT help!!!! It actually got worse.

This happened before with a previous iOS version (not sure which one) a couple of years ago.

It worked fine until the first 11.x came out and got progressively got slower and worse. 11.3 is really bad now. Hopefully it will be fixed soon? Anybody have any ideas?
