How was it unlocked by Apple? was it a replacement phone? If so, the original IMEI assumes the carrier lock of the old phone. You will need to call Sprint to verify your phone is no longer locked to them, before you can use the Verizon SIM or any other carrier for that matter.
It sounds as if the device is locked to another carrier. Where did you get it?
This phone is from my daughter account when she first opened this account she was given two iPhones she gave me one i paid her for this phone this phone is my. She left sprint and because I don’t have the account number they cannot help me
Only the carrier to which the phone is locked can unlock it. You will need to contact Sprint.
I had my daughter call and they will unlock my phone in 2-3 business days Thank you! For your help and God Bless You
All!
Unfortunately, only Sprint can unlock the phone. If they will not, there's nothing really to be done. You could probably use it as a trade in at Verizon toward a new phone.
I assume you mean "Sprint". If so, contact them and find out if the will unlock the phone.

I'm glad to hear it worked out.
