Now the hard way. (Not so hard with some practice).

Open your Mac to airport utility.. click the icon of the TC.. and click edit on the summary.

Go to the wireless tab.

Change the Wireless network name.. short, no spaces pure alphanumeric.. it can be TC (ie time capsule) that is all that is required.

Security must be WPA2 Personal. Don't use anything else.

Wireless password.. 835abcDEF123987

Simple mixed case and numbers.. not in sequence though.. mixed up.. but easy to remember.

A password with name is fine.. if you have second language use it.. favourite fiction character .. anything. Just don't use special characters.

Now Bob has suggested something different.. to make the 5ghz name separate from 2.4ghz.. IMHO this is not required.. we are swapping roles here.. because I usually recommend a different name.. and Bob says stick to auto.. here I am saying stick to auto.

But if you want to.. click the wireless options.

You can set a wireless name.. these are my actual names.. TCwifi5 helps me to know I am connecting to 5ghz.. just TC5 would be fine.

Password is same for both bands..

Channel can be automatic but I have lots of stuff so I set one of the channels.. 2.4ghz you can try setting 8 or 9 if you have issues.

NOTE>> DO NOT EVER USE

Create hidden network. It is pointless and breaks the wifi standards. Some clients will never work if you do it.

(It was introduced as security feature in the days of WEP.. it is so pointless because simple analysers will show the name).

NOTE>> My radio mode will not appear in later AC version Airports. It is always set to AC plus N.. apparently no B or G now.

Once finished press save then update..

NB>. all your wireless clients will drop off the network.. so all will need to be refreshed with new name and password.

I have Samsung TV running with Airport router so it is not an issue.

What maybe an issue is the TC is setup with a very long wireless name including illegal characters like Apostrophe. Apple auto setup does this..

So you need to change the wireless name.. short, no spaces .. pure alphanumerics. <10 characters is great..

Also password could contain illegal characters.. please use pure alphanumeric.. mixed case and numbers.. 8-12 characters but more if you are concerned.

Post back if you keep having issues.

You did not indicate whether you had applied any of the tips and suggestions above from LaPastenague

Samsung TVs here connect just fine to the Apple wireless routers with no issues at all.

Make sure that you have separate names for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks

Unless instructed otherwise, connect the TV only to the 2.4 GHz network

Make sure that the name of each network uses only normal letters and numbers (no special characters like an apostrophe, asterisk dollar sign, etc in the name of the network)

Make sure that the name of each network is short....no more than 12 characters.....less would be better

Make sure that there are no blank spaces in the name of the network

Same guidelines for the wireless network password

I plugged in the LAN on my TV

Just need to clear up what you mean..

Did you plug the TV by ethernet cable into the Time Capsule.. ?? That is how we understand your sentence. If that is the case the TV should have internet connection without needing wifi.. it is a much better, easier and faster method if you do it. Forget wireless in that case.. there is no need to setup both.

If you are trying to connect the TV to wireless only.. then you need the TC to conform to standards that Apple ignores. ie the PC 90% of the world.

Bob gave you a good introduction.. but if you find this too hard.. then there is a simple alternative. I often recommend this to people who have airport routers and setup with all apple households. which works fine.. until one day a cousin arrives with a PC and nothing works.. or like you they buy a TV and discover Apple live inside a walled garden.. where the rest of world is held at bay.

Buy a cheap as chips low end wireless router.. I tend to recommend TP-Link where I live.. but any of the Chinese brands,, Tenda, Edimax, even real chinese ones like Xiaomi are great (once you get them off Chinese firmware).

Set it to AP or WAP mode. (WAP= Wireless Access Point.. AP is same but wireless is understood). The TP-Link do have this mode in their setup.. which makes it easier.

Plug it into the TC by ethernet.. and then you have a standard wireless which all PC, TV, Games Consoles, etc can use without hassles. And it might cost $40 at most.

So think about it.. easy way.
