does iphone 7 plus case fit iphone 8 plus?

good day,

yesterday i went to a shop selling accessories for iphone and smartphones. but they do not sell iphone 8 plus case, they told me that iphone 7 plus can fit iphone 8 plus. tho i know the thickness is 0.1 inches different. so i bought it without no hesitation. once i reached home, i noticed that my glass screen protection splitting from the screen little by little, then i went back there to make a change. and still im facing the same issue.

if i buy case from Apple, do i will face the same issue again? from my observation, iphone 7 plus does not fit iphone 8 plus very well...
