Visual Voice Mail not working Consumer Cell

Well this is a bear. Consumer Cellular has 15 minute hold times. Regardless, I hoped maybe here someone can help. I moved my Consumer Cellular SIM card to an iPhone 5S from a 4S, and restored the backup from iTunes on the 5S from the 4S. All's well, except the visual voice mail. It shows up, but the messages can't be played back.

Do I need to wait the long hold times to get my voice mail transferred over to the new phone? I even get new voice messages on the new phone, but those aren't playable either. Just the notification exists that there is a message, with who it is from, and how long the message is, but the play sign doesn't do anything on the message itself.

iPhone 5s, iOS 11.0.1

Have you tried doing a force restart? Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for it to boot back up. Then try again.
