iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case peeling

I purchased my iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case on December 4, 2016 and loved it until Fall 2017. My case started peeling apart at the top and on the sides, so it catches on my pocket, in my work bag, etc. and it looks terrible. I've had no issue with the battery itself, it's been a lifesaver on many occasions. I waited too long to take advantage of the warranty, but I'm wondering if this problem happened with others and if it's fixable. I tried to superglue parts of it, but because it needs to be flexible to get the case on and off, it cracked right away.

Paying $99 was worth it until it started to fall apart. Any suggestions on repairing or replacing the skin?

Emma,

You can't really replace the skin or repair ir. Leather isn't like a metal surface that can be painted; the only attention you can give it is a wax like polish. I've never examined one of these cases but from what you say it sounds like it is made of what is known as 'skiver', a very thin leather.

Used to encase and set over a hard surface like a phone I would think it could rub easily and disintergrate as you describe. I did work with leather for a while and while it is only a personal opinion I wouldn't think it is entirely suitable for the job. But there again, I don't know that it really is skiver. All you can do is try to replace with something more durable.

The reason I asked about the store and country is because in some countries there is a lot of second rate pseudo Apple stuff washing around.

Sorry I can't be more specific.
