Manage storage in High Sierra

Why do I end up with 168 GB of my Photos Library under Documents AND IN ADDITION with 118 GB under Photos when I copy over my Photos library of 168 GB? And had no photo on the Mac before?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), macOS High Sierra (10.13.2)
