Connect Dell Ultrasharp to MacBook Pro 2017
I have problems connecting Dell Ultrasharp U2717D to my new Mac book Pro (2017). I don't get the highest resolution. Can anyone help what I need?
I’ll try, Omandy. See if, under the monitor’s menu, for inputs, it’s set to DisplayPort. You may also have to turn on mts. Connect DisplayPort cable to Mac and, I believe a USB cable as well. Under system preferences, go to display, hold down option key, and you should get a list of resolutions. I have a Dell monitor ( the 24xx model) and for mine, an altered EDID was called for, which you can get somewhere on the internet along with instructions on how to install it
