Photos 3.0 app Flickr integration not working

User uploaded file

Hi All,

I am a heavy user of Flickr. I have been using the Flickr integration in Mac Photos app to share my edited photos directly into Flickr. With the last Mac OS X upgrade to High Sierra (on MacBook Air), I am not able to share the photos. I get the below error:

"You have reached the maximum number of"

The Publish button is greyed out. The Select Photo Set dropdown doesn't show any of my existing flickr albums. My hunch is that I have reached the maximum number of Flickr albums that Photos app can show in that dropdown.

Can anyone please suggest how to workaround this problem? Obviously, I don't want to delete my albums and I would not prefer to use flickr's uploader because then I will lose the edits I made in the Photos app.

Thanks!

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2012), macOS High Sierra (10.13.2)

I am uploading only one photo. I think the problem is around Photos app not being able to list the available photo albums in the drop down.

You select the photos before you click to share - no in the upload window

  1. Select the photos you want to publish.
  2. In the toolbar, click the Share button, and then click Flickr.
  3. Click the set (what Flickr calls an album) you want to add your photos to, or click New Set. You can also click Photostream to add your photos to your Flikr Photostream. If you selected New Set, type a set name in the Set Name box.
  4. Choose an option from the “Photos Viewable by” pop-up menu and an option from the “Photo size” pop-up menu. The size you choose depends on whether you expect your viewers to download and print your photos.
  5. Click Publish. To view your published photos, click your Flickr account in the Source list (below iCloud).

When you visit the Flickr website, you can move additional photos into this set on the website. Then, when you sync the published album in iPhoto, these photos appear in your iPhoto album, sized for quick downloading.

You can see whether you published a photo to Flickr. Select the photo, click the Info button in the toolbar, and look in the Sharing section. (If you don’t see a Sharing section, you haven’t shared the photo.)
