I'm sure it is a simple fix, but not sure what is going on?
Please see picture attached, I'm not sure if it's something to do with connected clips or something? I don't know the rules of snapping but my clips when shortened will not now snap to the markers I have placed on the audio track below.

If you pull the selected clip to a marker it should snap. The clips are on the primary storyline and snap to markers if snapping is turned on.
I actually just figured it out. When adding in my music clip, I added it to my media in events before adding it to my timeline. Then it works.

When I do that, with snapping on it won't snap, I don't see why not? I'm trying to shorten a clip from the tail and dragging it left. Normally it would snap to the marker but it won't?
I'm having the same problem. It won't snap for me if I drag the clip to trim it or even when I'm skimming. Ever find the solution to this problem? Using FCPX 10.4 and snapping is for sure turned on.
Seems I spoke too quickly. It will only snap to the audio under the video it connects with. Still can't figure out. Didn't have this problem before FCPX 10.4
