There is no FACETIME AUDIO option in my idevice.

Hi I need help on my iphone 5. Currently operating with version 10.3. My only issue are I can't seems to make any FACETIME AUDIO call. Now let me explain further and with much more details. It's not that I can't hear any audio when facetime-ing. My audio are fine. But I can't seems to make any FACETIME AUDIO call. In fact, when I opened my Facetime apps, there are no options for AUDIO (img 1.0). Even when I go to specific contact to make and Audio (FACETIME) call there seems to have no Audio button for me to click (img 2.0). Pls help me. Thank you.

Hello Alf.brc,

Thanks for posting your question in the Apple Support Community. I understand that you're not seeing the option for FaceTime audio calls when you open the app or try using a contact card to make a FaceTime audio call.

I recommend to take a look through the steps in the following article. These steps apply for both video and audio calls through FaceTime.

Hi thank you so much sir! Your link indeed was very helpful. So here I explain how I figured the issue of my device. I bought my device (used) and I am not really aware as from where does the device came from.


So after some searches on the web, I found ways to know from which country did the device come from. Which is somehow like so ;


1. I went to my SETTING - GENERAL - ABOUT.

2. Look for MODEL and you'll see there are two letters before a slash (that two letters are your country code)

3. Next I went to the web to find out my code are for which country.


So my device came from China which explains the unavailability of my Facetime Audio refering back to the link you provide earlier (img 1.0)
