i’m gettin a new phone for christmas so i’m wondering when i sign into my new phone with the same apple id will

my contacts also transfer over to the new phone

if you set it to sync with iCloud yes

If you have previously synced them with iCloud, then yes, they will appear on your new device.

Don't forget to make also a full backup of your old device via iCloud or via ITunes.
