I'm trying to copy a Kindle .prc file to my iPad and have gone through all the steps on iTunes. ITunes shows the file on my iPad but when I look for it, it's not on the iPad. I've even tried emailing it. Any other options to get it to show up?

I understand you are trying to get a Kindle file onto your iPad. If you download the Kindle app for your iPad, you should be able to access all of the items in your Kindle library.

Yes, I have the Kindle app and used it to copy about ten files to my iPad via iTunes: iTunes > devices > my iPad > file sharing > Kindle app > Add files. About half of the files were .mobi and half were .prc. All of the files showed in the dialog box as having been transferred. But when I checked my library in the Kindle app on my iPad, one was missing. I used suggestions on this community and other resources to find another way to move the file but none worked. So, why is it not there and how do I move the file successfully if iTunes can't help me? Thank you.
