Where does itunes put synced photos?

Where does itunes put synced photos? I have looked for them on the computer (MAC) and can't find them. I have looked online for the answer and nothing has been helpful. This answer is also NOT helpful: Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support as it still isn't answering the question as to WHERE on my computer are the files going? I have been trying to find them for hours.

Syncing with iTunes does not transfer photos from the phone to the computer. That’s why you can’t find them. The article that you say is NOT helpful, tells you exactly what you need to do in order to move the photos from the phone to your Mac. I suggest that you read it again.
