Instagram album has stopped saving photos

There is an album in Photos called Instagram where it automatically saves all the photos I've uploaded to my Instagram account. Very convenient to have them all in one place in Photos.

However, since a few weeks it's stopped saving the photos there (I've not hanged any settings). But the photos are still there in my Photos, just not in the separate album. So one is not able to view them all in one place, which is quite annoying.

Appreciate any help in trying to fix this! Thank you. 🙂

Same problem here, it saves to Camera Roll but not an Album. I created an IFTTT rule to put to an album called IG. A benefit, it saves it right away, only disadvantages it doesn't have the location of the photo.

Do you sync the Mac with an iPhone using iCloud Photo Library? Are you uploading to instagram from an iPhone, and could Photos on the iPhone have created the album?

you need to explain as Photos has no instagram interface that I know of and knows nothing about instagram so any album you have to show Instagram photos is one you set up so you need to explain to us what you did and why it ever automatically show Instagram photos - that is not a standard Photos album that I am aware of

thanks for the reply. as far as i recall, i never created this instagram folder/album. all my instagram posts would automatically appear here (after every instagram upload) - until recently, when it suddenly stopped doing so for no apparent reason. baffling! 😕

the same goes for the whatsapp album - that's another folder which created itself.

yes everything is synced on icloud.

yes uploading to instagram from my iphone.

no idea tbh, how that instagram folder was created. it seems to have just appeared without my doing.

it's great to have all my insta pics in one folder in Photos, but now it's just not saving them there anymore...

I have the exact same problem I just found out that Instagram stopped saving in its own album but it saves on camera roll and that is so annoying since I want all them in one album.

We need a solution for this please because it seems that it’s only not one person’s problem.

Same on all counts for me. I didn’t create the folder, it was just there. My last photo went into the Insta folder on Nov 8th at about 6pm. I put other photos up later the same night and from then on they haven’t saved in the Insta folder 🤔

my last one saved in the instagram folder was on 15th november.

i upload to insta about once a day. yep, it's just stopped completely saving the photos there for no reason.

instagram doesn't seem to have any form of technical help anywhere... frustrating!

Mine started doing this in February. I post to two different Instagram accounts. And I post once a day at a minimum. My photos album is a disaster. Has anyone found a solution yet? Apple says it’s not their problem. But something is messsd up with them because I ahah multiples of everything including contacts since I upgraded to the iPhone X. Which I hate, btw....
